That Was Then (B.Husken) If you could go back to a time when I was yours and you were mine. Would you change the things you said, would you change what we have done? I realize they say time flies, when you’re wronged it seems to die. Played the scene a thousand times and in your mind it still seems right. I can feel it’s just not right, I was yours and you were mine. That was then and this is now, and now is where I find myself. Moving on knowing one day will seem right. That I was yours, you used to be mine.

Horizon 03:01
Horizon (B.Husken) Looking out over the horizon realizing, there is a world that you plan to see come what may. Sun rises bringing us surprises, memorizing images of what you plan to do and to see. Spring is nearing. Cold will disappear. Walking through valleys you tally the signs you see. Lifting your voice above old, past hypocrisy. Surrender to summer and make your voice thunder through nameless streets placing importance on all you see. Warmth’s invading, driving away fear. Sun is fading, tomorrow’s almost here.

Truth 04:01
The Truth (B.Husken) Come on listen to my story, because I can’t tell the truth. It seems whenever you’re around me, I feel completely out of tune. I try no matter what I’m thinking, comes out twisted and obscure, won’t you listen to my tall tales? Or are you looking for the truth? I can’t tell you what you want; the truth is harder than, what I think it is you want to hear. You see, I feel as if I’m missing, something you can’t live without. So I’ll go on and keep pretending, until our minds are filled with doubt. When it’s painfully obtrusive, I hope I don’t look a fool. When you see through your perception, I hope you can love me still. I can’t tell you what you want; the truth is harder than, what I think it is you want to hear. You won’t wait for this no more. Been down this road before. Don’t like where it’s going, cuz I’m showing, my true colors. Come on listen to my story, because, I can’t tell the truth..

Together 03:59
Together (B.Husken/J.Sheard) You kinda find what you felt all along was true. Stepping back, taken in all there is to view. You catch a glimpse of what once was obstructed truth. The time has come, what’s done is done. Pick yourself, off the ground and begin to build. Build up yourself from where you feel you fallen to. Don’t fool yourself that you’re in this alone for good. Your heart won’t return, if you can’t even learn. To take me, don’t leave me. Together we’re bound to pull through this. The world that keeps spinning, won’t stop for what you’re dealing with. So wake from your sleeping, grab hold of those all around you. Together were bound to pull through this. Your days are dark, even sunlight can’t pierce this gloom. It’s been hard to decipher what you’re to do. You catch a glimpse of what once was a life for you. Till kingdom come, you’re will was done. Pick yourself, off the ground and begin to build. Build up yourself from where you feel you fallen to. Don’t fool yourself that you’re in this alone for good. Your heart can return, if you’re willing to learn. To take me, don’t leave me. Together were bound to pull through this. The world that keeps spinning, won’t stop for what you’re dealing with. So wake from your sleeping, grab hold of those all around you. Together were bound to pull through this.

After The Fall (B.Husken/J.Sheard) Coming up closer, the moon and the stars are aligned. Catching a glimpse from the corner of your eye. Time to take a trip so put your hand in mine. Experience the splendor, the beauty, the mystery of life. Don’t worry, the pit falls, the doldrums, they’re all sure to come. But with me in your life, and you as well in mine, We’ll have the greatest stories to tell Built on the foundation of love. Spreading the word across the land, you’re not the same as you once were. After the fall. See things so clearly, It’s merely perspective of heart. Vision once ruled by mind, body and site. Now were together, there’s nothing to break us apart. Experience the splendor, the beauty, the mystery of life. Don’t worry the pit falls, the doldrums they’re all sure to come. But with me in your life and you as well in mine We’ll have the greatest stories to tell. Built on the foundation of love. Spreading word across the land, you’re not the same as you once were. After the fall

Nobody Wants To (B.Husken, J.Sheard) You know and I know, what is going on. You know and I know, we won’t say a word. Everyone’s tip toeing. walking around the truth. Meanwhile you’re surviving, but how much longer could you? We make it go away, pretending it’s OK. We make it go away, by looking in the other direction. Nobody wants to, talk about it. We just want to, forget about it. But who’s to love you, when you can’t love yourself?
8.
(B.Husken) So you want out, but once you’re in. You can’t seem to see how to leave. Things you’ve wanted for so long, never been this unclear. Your worlds a mess, all you hold slips through hands. Try to grasp but it falls through like a sieve. A cloud so thick, that you can’t seem to see, all you love is thin. Who really knows what’s is in front of us? Still, you try to buy what you don’t know. Once your sold, your soul will believe, that there’s a troubling truth. It’s getting tough, tough to believe. But believe you’re deceived, if you can’t be set free. It’s time, time the talking stops, and you accept unfailing love. You wonder how it could come down to this. You see as plain as day, your worlds a mess. But then there’s time, that it seems right as rain, and all you love is big. Try to control but if you just let go. Your soul will lead you to a love. To a love, that is longing to be, all you need and more. It’s getting tough, tough to believe. But believe you’re deceived, if you can’t be set free. It’s time, time the talking stops, and you accept unfailing love. And these are the times we’re called to truth. Seeing things that no one ever should. But believe; believe you’re not the only fool. You wonder how it could come down to this. You see as plain as day, your worlds a mess. But then there’s time, that it seems right as rain, and all you love is big. Try to control but if you just let go. Your soul will lead you to a love. To a love that is longing to be, all you need and more.

The Tides 03:40
The Tides (B.Husken) You said you feel you’re salt and light. Seems that your tastes gone, can’t see your shine, From the hill where you gladly reside. Structure seems sturdy ground starts to slide. Bags are packed you’re on your way, on your own. Mother’s milk is still on your face, in your soul. Your ship is sailing to sea, shore growing harder to see. No way to know direction. Try to swim but it’s too deep. The undertow would pull you in. You’d miss your destination. The tides are pushing you far away. Disappear with no control, you feel alone. You reach out for a lifeline. Pull you back towards the shore. No way to know direction. Try to swim but it’s too deep. The undertow would pull you in. You’d miss your destination.
10.
The Veil 04:26
The Veil (B.Husken/J.Warnke) So you say that you’re leaving. Breaks my heart to know that you’re misbelieving. You turn and walk away. I see the look upon your face. You still don’t believe. Don’t say over now. You were made to see past sight and sound. The veil hangs over the crowd. How I’m longing to see you work this out. The veil hangs down. Let’s work this out. Can’t afford to stand around. You feel your backs against the wall. I’m standing here. My arms open near, offering love that you can’t see. Don’t say over now. You were made to see past sight and sound. The veil hangs over the crowd. How I’m longing to see you work this out. The veil hangs down. Let’s work this out. And you always will be, the love that I sought out, from the very first sight. Don’t say over now. You were made to see past sight and sound. The veil hangs over the crowd. How I’m longing to see you work this out. The veil hangs down. Let’s work this out.

Will The Cavalry Come (B.Husken) In my place, where the walls come down Lost my grip when the times were tough Saw the world; saw it in black and white No color or no light could ever cross my eyes Who’s to say they’d come for your sake? Who’s to blame for this mess your in? Surrounded by those who say they love Me for me, even though it’s tough Words I see but can’t ever hear No sound or no signs would ever calm my fears I feel lost can I be found? Hit the wall I’m still not fine. Called for help will the Calvary come? Will the Calvary come? Who’s to say they’d come for your sake? Who’s to blame for this mess your in? In my space, where the walls did fall Forced to climb when I used to crawl A room once big is now so small No walls or no bounds are left to hold me down I feel lost can I be found? Hit the wall I’m still not fine. Called for help will the Calvary come? Will the Calvary come? Who’s to say they’d come for your sake? Will the Calvary come? Who’s to blame for this mess your in?

Loose Lips 03:00
Loose Lips (B.Husken/J.Warnke) Loose lips, sink ships, so be very careful. What you do or say about all the others. Time, time won’t be kind, if you continue to spread rumors. All’s calm before the storm, Not long before your thrown Into the crowd, falling down You find yourself alone. Loose lips, sink ships, so be very careful Time, time won’t be kind, if you continue to spread rumors.

about

Brae Detroit, Michigan

From the throne of a drummer, to standing behind a makeshift cocktail drum kit, Brandon (Brae) Husken has gone from the back of the stage to the front.

Chord shape permutations of sacred geometry, catchy melodies and a rhythm centric approach to song writing, the music is thoughtfully crafted much like paint to canvas.
